Featured Products Elevation Certificate Services Most property owners don’t know what to do or where to go when they receive notification from their mortgage lender that their home or building is in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). When a home or structure secured by a federally-backed mortgage is determined to be in a Special Flood Hazard Area, by law, the owner must obtain flood insurance.
